Purpose:
• To implement the planned geologic and formation evaluation programs at the drilling location.
• To obtain the maximum amount of high quality subsurface data under prevailing drilling conditions.
• To full collaborate with rig - based drilling personnel and Atyrau based Operations Geology in order to achieve this goal in a safe and efficient manner.


Qualifications & Experience:
The job holder must have:
• Fluent English (written and spoken)
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office
• A university degree in geosciences is preferable, however, a degree in petroleum engineering with significant rig site experience in well operations or mud logging will be considered.
• Experience in the selection of casing points; good drilling practices, conventional core acquisition, geological attributes of potential reservoirs good drilling practices; conventional core acquisition; geological attributes of potential reservoirs (including sedimentary environment, reservoir geometry, porosity type and distribution, etc.); LWD and wireline logging techniques and interpretation; post-well reporting; and interfacing with drilling and engineering personnel.
